By purchasing or renting products or services from TechWave Studios, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
1. Equipment Rental Cancellations and Refunds
1.1 Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change. Our equipment rental cancellation policy is designed to be fair while accounting for our operational needs.

1.2 How to Cancel
To cancel an equipment rental reservation:

- Email us at [email protected] with your reservation details
- Cancellation must be confirmed by TechWave Studios to be valid
- Cancellation confirmation will be sent via email
1.3 Rental Extension Refunds
If you return equipment early, refunds for unused rental days are provided as follows:
- Daily rentals: No refund for early returns
- Weekly rentals: Refund for unused days if returned 3+ days early
- Monthly rentals: Pro-rated refund for unused weeks if returned 7+ days early
1.4 Equipment Malfunction
If rented equipment malfunctions due to defects (not user error or damage):
- Contact us immediately upon discovering the issue
- We will provide replacement equipment when available
- If replacement is unavailable, you will receive a full refund for affected rental days
- No refund is provided if malfunction is due to misuse or user error
1.5 Security Deposit Refunds
Security deposits are refunded according to the following conditions:
- Equipment returned on time and in original condition: Full deposit refund within 5-7 business days
- Minor cleaning required: Deposit refunded less cleaning fee ($25-$50)
- Damage detected: Repair costs deducted from deposit; remaining balance refunded
- Lost or stolen equipment: Deposit applied toward replacement cost; additional charges may apply
Important: Security deposits are refunded to the original payment method. Refund processing time varies by financial institution, typically 5-10 business days.
2. Equipment Sales Returns and Refunds
2.1 Return Period
Equipment purchased from TechWave Studios may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund, subject to the conditions below.
2.2 Return Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for a return, items must meet ALL of the following conditions:
- Item is in original, unused condition
- Original packaging is intact with all included accessories, manuals, and documentation
- Product has not been registered with the manufacturer
- Item shows no signs of use, wear, or damage
- Return is initiated within 14 days of delivery
- Original proof of purchase is provided
2.3 Non-Returnable Items
The following items are NOT eligible for return:
- Special order or custom-ordered equipment
- Opened software or digital products
- Items marked "final sale" or "non-returnable"
- Used or installed equipment
- Items without original packaging
- Damaged items (damage caused by customer)
- Clearance or discounted items (unless defective)
2.4 Return Process
To initiate a return:
- Contact us within 14 days of delivery via email or phone
- Provide order number, item details, and reason for return
- Receive Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions
- Securely package item with all original contents
- Ship item to our address using a trackable shipping method
- Retain shipping receipt until refund is processed
Note: Returns without a valid RA number may be refused or subject to delays.
2.5 Return Shipping Costs
- Defective products: We cover return shipping costs
- Change of mind: Customer responsible for return shipping costs
- Wrong item shipped: We cover return shipping and send correct item at no charge
2.6 Refund Processing for Sales
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Inspection completed within 3-5 business days of receipt
- Approved refunds processed within 5-7 business days
- Refund issued to original payment method
- Email confirmation sent when refund is processed
- Bank processing time varies (typically 5-10 business days)
2.7 Restocking Fees
A 15% restocking fee applies to returns for change of mind on items over $500, deducted from the refund amount. No restocking fee applies to defective items or our errors.
2.8 Defective Products
If you receive a defective product:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Describe the defect with photos if possible
- We will arrange replacement or full refund including shipping costs
- Manufacturer warranty may apply; we will assist with warranty claims
3. Videography Services Cancellations and Refunds
3.1 Booking Deposits
Videography services require a non-refundable booking deposit (typically 30-50% of project cost) to secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, including:
- Client cancellation for any reason
- Rescheduling requests
- Changes in project scope
- Force majeure events (weather, emergencies, etc.)

3.3 Rescheduling
Rescheduling videography services is subject to availability and the following terms:
- First rescheduling (30+ days notice): No additional fee
- Rescheduling with less than 30 days notice: $150 rescheduling fee
- Multiple rescheduling requests may result in project cancellation and forfeiture of deposit
- Rescheduling subject to our availability
3.4 Cancellation by TechWave Studios
If we must cancel your videography booking:
- Full refund of all payments made
- We will make every effort to reschedule at no additional cost
- Not liable for consequential damages or expenses
3.5 Dissatisfaction with Final Product
If you are dissatisfied with completed videography work:
- We offer reasonable revisions as specified in service agreement
- Minor edits and adjustments provided at no additional cost
- Major revisions may incur additional fees
- No refunds for subjective creative differences
- Refunds only provided if deliverables materially fail to meet agreed specifications
4. Refund Processing Times
Refund processing varies by refund type:

Note: Refund timing depends on your financial institution's processing time. TechWave Studios processes refunds promptly but cannot control bank processing times.
5. Refund Methods
Refunds are issued using the following methods:
- Credit/Debit Card: Refund to original card used for payment
- Cash Payments: Cash refund or bank transfer (customer provides banking details)
- Bank Transfer: Refund via bank transfer to original account
Store credit may be offered as an alternative to refunds at customer's discretion. Store credit does not expire and can be used for future rentals, purchases, or services.
6. Damaged or Incorrect Items
6.1 Damaged Items Received
If you receive damaged equipment or products:
- Inspect items immediately upon delivery
- Photograph damage and packaging
- Contact us within 48 hours of receipt
- Do not use or install damaged items
- We will arrange replacement or full refund including shipping
6.2 Incorrect Items Received
If you receive incorrect items:
- Contact us immediately
- We will arrange pickup or return shipping at our expense
- Correct items shipped promptly at no additional charge
- Refund provided if correct items unavailable
7. Exchanges
Exchanges are available for purchased equipment under the following conditions:
- Requested within 14 days of delivery
- Original item meets return eligibility requirements
- Replacement item is in stock
- Price difference charges/refunds applied if applicable
- One exchange per transaction
Rented equipment cannot be exchanged during rental period unless equipment is defective.
8. Warranty Claims
Many products sold by TechWave Studios include manufacturer warranties. For warranty claims:
- Contact us for warranty assistance
- We will facilitate communication with manufacturer
- Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product
- Original proof of purchase required
- Warranty does not cover damage from misuse or accidents
Our refund policy does not supersede or replace manufacturer warranties.
9. Force Majeure
TechWave Studios is not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters, extreme weather, or acts of God
- Government restrictions or regulations
- Strikes, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions
- Public health emergencies or pandemics
- Equipment failure or technical issues
In force majeure situations, we will work with you to reschedule services or provide alternative solutions. Refunds may be provided at our discretion depending on circumstances.
